Call for Papers

We are pleased to announce that the 2026 IEEE Information Theory Workshop (ITW 2026) will be held in the beautiful desert city of Tempe, Arizona, USA between November 10–13, 2026.

ITW’26 is planned as an in-person conference with authors expected to travel and participate in the event. IEEE-ITW’26 solicits and welcomes original contributions from a broad range of topics related to information and coding theory as well as its connections with other areas, including but not limited to the following:

  • Blockchain
  • Coding theory and practice
  • Communications theory
  • Applications of information theory and statistics
  • Information-theoretic security
  • Machine learning theory and practice
  • Network information theory
  • Network coding and distributed storage
  • Quantum information and theory
  • Quantum error correction

ITW 2026 will be putting a specific focus on the areas of information theory in machine learning, quantum information and coding, and coding for 6G. For the first time, ITW is introducing an ITW 2026 Student Paper Award. To ensure your paper is eligible, please make sure to include the correct verbiage in the abstract, which can be found in the updated Paper Template.

 

Paper Submission

To be published in IEEE Xplore, an author of an accepted paper must register and present the paper. IEEE does not guarantee inclusion in IEEE Xplore. The paper submission link can be found here.

Paper submission deadline: May 3, 2026 May 10, 2026 (extended)
Acceptance notification: July 3, 2026 July 20, 2026
Camera-ready submission: August 17, 2026
Workshop dates: November 10-13, 2026
