We are pleased to announce that the 2026 IEEE Information Theory Workshop (ITW 2026) will be held in the beautiful desert city of Tempe, Arizona, USA between November 10–13, 2026.
ITW’26 is planned as an in-person conference with authors expected to travel and participate in the event. IEEE-ITW’26 solicits and welcomes original contributions from a broad range of topics related to information and coding theory as well as its connections with other areas, including but not limited to the following:
- Blockchain
- Coding theory and practice
- Communications theory
- Applications of information theory and statistics
- Information-theoretic security
- Machine learning theory and practice
- Network information theory
- Network coding and distributed storage
- Quantum information and theory
- Quantum error correction
ITW 2026 will be putting a specific focus on the areas of information theory in machine learning, quantum information and coding, and coding for 6G. For the very first time, ITW 2026 will have an ITW student paper award.
Paper Submission
To be published in IEEE Xplore, an author of an accepted paper must register and present the paper. IEEE does not guarantee inclusion in IEEE Xplore.

Acceptance notification: July 3, 2026
Camera-ready submission: August 17, 2026
