Workshops

With the main goal of broadening the participation of researchers in sibling communities, such as physics, computer science, economics, and neuroscience, facilitating the exchange of ideas between other fields and information theory and enriching the experience of regular attendees, ISIT2025 will host satellite workshops.

The workshops are:

Learn to Compress & Compress to Learn

Organizers: Ezgi Ozyilkan, Gergely Flamich, Deniz Gündüz, Elza Erkip

This workshop aims to unite experts from machine learning, computer science, and information theory to delve into the dual themes of learning-based compression and using compression as a tool for learning tasks.

Quantum Information: Its Puzzles, Impact, and Challenges

Organizers: Arun Padakandla, Janis Nötzel, Christian Deppe, Boulat Bash

This workshop is designed to help quantum-aware researchers broaden their expertise into allied quantum domains. It also serves as a gateway for quantum-unaware participants to explore foundational concepts and advanced topics. Introductory lectures aim to inspire and prepare participants for research in quantum information.
